Father Charles Mathieu served as Pastor from 1975 for two years. The Parish continued to grow rapidly and he averaged eight marriages and 45 baptisms each year. He held a Saturday Mass at Gros Cap, a Saturday evening mass and two Sunday masses at St. Joseph's.
