Father Saracco a Stigmatine Priest, was the first Pastor, a man of exceptional capabilities. His leadership resulted in the building of the original St. Joseph the Worker Church. This much loved Pastor remained for 12 years until 1975. Father performed over 148 marriages and baptized more than 500 babies and adults. Fr. Saracco died from Lou Gehrig's disease in 1988 at the age of 73.
